Tiffany S. Stokes

Tiffany understands that family law issues can be intimidating, confusing, and frustrating. Her practice is focused on helping clients effectively resolve their family law matters. Tiffany helps her clients set and realize long and short term goals that restructure the family in the best way possible. Tiffany emphasizes negotiation and settlement over litigation.

Tiffany has appeared before administrative tribunals, Provincial Court, Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Court of Appeal of Alberta. She has experience in divorce, custody, guardianship, access, parenting, child support, partner and spousal support, property division, extrajurisdictional custody orders, adoption, and common law issues.

Tiffany was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated summa cum laude from Meredith College in North Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies and Spanish. Tiffany graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2012. Throughout law school Tiffany was a regular student volunteer with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and served on the Editorial Board of the Alberta Law Review. Tiffany articled with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and Gordon Zwaenepoel prior to her call to the bar in 2013.

Tiffany continues to be a regular volunteer with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre where she provides services in the areas of civil and family law for low-income Edmontonians. Tiffany is the Chair of the Edmonton branch of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF), and Co-Chair of the Habitat for Humanity Edmonton Legal Build Committee. Tiffany is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and Canadian Bar Association.
